Importance of COMPUTER

Computer technology is used to serve and connect people in the modern world. Desktops, laptops and mobile devices network the world together and perform multiple operations at once; however, this industry includes more than these machines. Individuals, communities, government and organizations rely on computer technology to produce or innovate the majority of things in their lives, such as food, services, entertainment, care, communication, education and transportation.

Computer technology has had a deep impact on the education sector. Thanks to computer, imparting education has become easier and much more interesting than before. Computer have changed the way we work, be it any profession. Therefore, it is only natural that the role of computers in the education has been given a lot of importance in recent years. This is also because the education system has made computer education a part of school curriculum. Considering the use of computer technology is almost every sphere of life, it is importance for everyone to have at least the basic knowledge of using computer. They enable quick processing of data with very less or no chances of error in processing. Networked computer aid quick communication and enable web access. Storing document on computer in the form of soft copies instead of hard ones helps save paper.

Computer is now an integral part of our professional life.  The greatest benefit professionals would have from the use of computer is the great savings from a paperless office.  However, the security of information remains a matter of concern.  If you are able to effectively use the security features provided in computers, you can get over this difficulty.

Since the computers are capable of doing multiple tasks simultaneously, it comes as a cost-effective option to replace several departments singlehandedly.

The advancements like online banking which allows you to do financial transactions from the comforts of one’s own home have made it impossible to spend even a single day without computers.

The Scope of Computer science

B.Sc Computer Science is an undergraduate course in the field of science. The course study educates the participants with various aspects of matter, motion, energy, time, and so on. The course offers adequate scope with regard to higher education as well as career. There exist ample master level courses for candidates who are interested in higher education. Introduction of Department

As per NITI Ayog Osmanabad is one of the educationally backward districts. Paranda tahsil is most economically, educationally backward and climatically dry which comes in Osmanabad district. Late R. G. Shinde (Guruji) founder president of our institute who established “Shri Bhavani Shikshan Prasarak Mandal” in June 1960 and the college was established in June 1986. The institute formerly was known as, “New College”. Institution is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. In the beginning there was Arts faculty and later in 2004 Science faculty was initiated on non-grant basis. Afterwards in 2009 University Grant Commission, New Delhi (UGC) fully granted our science faculty.

Institute started computer science as an optional subject from academic year 2014-2015 Dr. Maheshkumar Mane was appointed as assistant professor and Head of the department today’s department runs is with one permanent faculty, one CHB faculty and 02 non-teaching member which include 01 laboratory assistant and 01 laboratory attendant. Presently department has its own well equipped laboratory.

• To develop the Experimental skills and Computer programming skills.
